APPROVED CONSULTANT, EMDR
Individual and group consultation in EMDR is available by Dr. E. C. Hurley. Retired military himself, E. C. specializes in the use of EMDR in treating combat related trauma. Consultation is provided to EMDR clinicians throughout the United States via phone consultation, DVD and Skype communication. Consultation is provided to a wide range of consultees including active duty military clinicians, VA psychologists and licensed social workers (LCSW), persons in private practice. APPROVED SUPERVISOR, AAMFT
Dr. Hurley is an Approved Supervisor, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Supervision is available through our offices.
SUPERVISOR, CSAT
Dr. Hurley is recognized as a supervisor for clinicians preparing to become certified as Sex Addiciton Therapists (CSAT) by the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) in treating compulsive sexual behaviors.
On-Site Training
Soldier Center is developing an on-site training program designed specifically for clinicians who work with veterans and active duty military personnel. The training will include basic EMDR training, on-site treatment of military personnel under consultation while developing advanced clinical skills, experience working with soldiers with complex PTSD. This training will be scheduled within two (2) week blocks so persons can schedule their training to correspond with the level of training beginning with basic level, intermediate skills in using EMDR with combat trauma and advanced development in working with complex cases. The goal of EMDR training at Soldier Center is the development of competency and confidence in treating clients with combat trauma. The staff at Soldier Center provides EMDR to this population on a daily basis. In addition, adjunct facility includes senior EMDR facilitators/consultants who have devoted a life-time to treating veterans with EMDR.
