EMDR is listed as one of the three effective treatments for adult trauma by the VA/DOD Clinical Practice Guidelines (2010).

The best measure of treatment effectiveness is wheter or not the veteran improves. When the treatment is effective both the veteran and family members notice.
Here is the testimony of an OIF veteran diagnosed with PTSD who came for treatment after being treated in other programs. This vet, like many of our clients, was treated with EMDR successive days treatment for 10-days. Hear him, as he speaks with Dr. E. C. Hurley, Ph.D, at his exit outbriefing (on day 10).
