Soldier Center: What we are about . . .
Everyday, we at Soldier Center help soldiers and their families reclaim their lives.
Sometimes after deployments it is easy to feel we are somewhere between 2 worlds - the world of combat survival and the place where our loved ones live back here. It may seem easier over there where we only focus on doing the mission. Back here are demands, expectations, misunderstandings, etc. We sometimes feel the need to simplify things by wanting to be back there or "cutting sling load" here. Our family members may not understand - and in their effort to understand, just make things worse.
At Solder Center we are decicated to helping our clients recapture their lives by regaining hope, heart-felt joy, relaxation and meaning again - soldiers don't have to spend their lives caught between memories of the past and uncertainies of the future. Violence occurs not only on the battlefield. Soldier Center is a safe place where survivors of assault and abuse are honored for their resiliency and healing is offered in order to claim a quality of life beyond the dread and wounds.
